2023 Domaine Faiveley Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru

Dark and rich, this great pinot noir makes a bold statement. Very fleshy on the medium- to full-bodied palate but with excellent freshness. The fine tannins build to a serious crescendo in the quite firm and really imposing finish. Needs some time to give its best. From organically grown grapes. Matured in a half-and-half mix of new oak barriques and once-used barriques. Drinkable now but best from 2026.
