2023 Domaine des Lambrays Morey St. Denis 1er Cru Clos Sorbe

95 POINTS: The Clos Sorbè is just across the street from the Clos Baulet, but the difference is striking. The soil has more iron and produces a wine with deeper colour and yet more red fruit than black, with aromas of ripe cherry and lavender. The texture is more ethereal, but there is still a lovely freshness and depth of flavour. The grapes are from the domaine’s 1.15 hectares here; the wine should be approachable earlier than the Clos Baulet – try a bottle in five years.
