The 2022 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has a complex nose: orange pith and fresh Conference pears, crushed rock and just a touch of lemon sherbet. The palate is well-balanced and benefits from being matured in used oak barrel. There’s satisfying depth and tension, fanning out with brio on the finish. This is well worth seeking out.
