2022 Domaine des Lambrays Morey St. Denis 1er Cru "Les Loups"

95 POINTS: The composition of this blended Morey premier cru changes with the 2022 vintage: there is no more young vine fruit from the Clos des Lambrays (since they are no longer young). The blend now comprises Clos Sorbè, Les Blanchards, and small amounts of La Riotte and Le Village to make up 0.8 hectares. The blend delivers a superb, elegant wine with a luminous blackberry fruit with hints of violets and spice. The texture has more density, tannin, and less lively freshness than the Clos Baulet. The grapes are partially destemmed and gently fermented before ageing in cask (40% new).
