2020 Fontodi Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Terrazze di San Leolino

A new addition to the portfolio during the pandemic, this wine is made with organic grapes from a parcel near the little chapel of San Leolino, hence the name. Characterized by limestone soils at a cool 450 – 500 meters in elevation, the best fruit from 15 year old vines is put aside to produce this 5,000 bottle release. This wine is sharper and more focused and offers streamlined fruit with a bouquet of wild roses and polished tannins on the finish.
