2020 Domaine Matrot Volnay 1er Cru Santenots

The 2020 Volnay Santenots 1er Cru was the first vineyard harvested and even so, I feel this is the one cuvée with suggestions of slight sur-maturité. The palate is medium-bodied pliant tannins, quite sweet and candied, fleshy with wild strawberry, raspberry and white pepper towards the finish.
