2019 Halos de Jupiter Chateauneuf-du-Pape

93 Points: The 2019 Châteauneuf du Pape checks in 85% Grenache, 10% Syrah, and the balance Mourvèdre, and it was destemmed and brought up in used 600-liter Burgundy barrels. Lots of spiced red fruits, loamy soil, Provençal garrigue, and floral notes define the bouquet, and it’s as seamless as they come on the palate, with ripe, polished tannins, and outstanding length. It’s already drinking nicely yet is capable of evolving for 10-15 years if stored correctly.
