96 Points: The 2019 Impronte is a bit more reserved aromatically than the 2020, but it unfolds to reveal complex layers of macchia and Mediterrenean herbs, cherry licorice, and leather. It is full bodied but offers restraint, with a lovely, rounded arch of fruit through the mid-palate. It is pure and harmonized between its primary fruits and savory herbs, with salty earth and redcurrant, and has rich concentration without being broad. It is long on the palate and has wonderful sense of place. This stunning wine will be wonderful to revisit over the coming two decades.
