2019 Edouard Delaunay Clos Vougeot Grand Cru

Undulating streaks of blackberry and blueberry preserves introduce this powerfully ripe, penetrating Pinot Noir sourced from the clay-rich limestone soils of the northern sectors of Clos de Vougeot. Matured 14 months in mostly new oak, it's piquant with spice, tobacco leaf and smoky hazelnut tones now, but maintains a bristling acidic edge that should help it evolve gracefully.
