2019 CVNE Contino Rosado

Not all rosés have to be super pale, and the 2020 Rosado from Contino has a bright cherry color and a perfumed nose, more floral and less candied than in the past. This wine has changed, and this time it's 60% Graciano and 40% Garnacha (no more Mazuelo) that fermented separately in used 500-liter oak barrels and matured in concrete. It's 13.5% alcohol and has a low pH of 3.18 and notable acidity with six gams of acidity. It feels a lot more serious than in the past, with notes of red fruit and a spicy twist, balanced, fresh and easy to drink. 3,067 bottles were filled in March 2022.
