2019 Bel Colle Barbaresco Pajore

Heady aromas of new leather, wild berry and iris mingle with orange zest and dark spice on this compelling red. The full-bodied, elegant palate shows class and intensity, delivering juicy Morello cherry, strawberry compote and the same orange slice and star anise notes from the nose accompanied by taut, fine-grained tannins. It's got great energy and nervous, youthful tension that will allow this to age for years. Drink 2027–2039.
