98 POINTS: Entirely composed of Cabernet Franc, the 2018 Ventaglio is incredible, with fresh aromas of graphite, redcurrant, herbes de Provence, and mint that weave together with elegance and power. It is full-bodied but pure and lifted on the palate, with fine tannins and a persistent linear drive through the mid-palate, with a red cherry note and a mineral texture. There is a fantastic clarity and energy to this wine, which is drinking well now but will continue to improve and go the distance over the coming 2-3 decades.
