2018 Tablas Creek 'The Overachiever' Grenache

Grenache was one of the stars of the cool 2018 vintage, producing lots with lifted fruit, lots of peppery spice, and a welcome tannic bite that suggests promise in the cellar. For our “Overachiever” Grenache we chose three lots from the estate vineyard’s oldest Grenache blocks that emphasized Grenache's freshness...the result is a Grenache with crunchy red fruit and spice at the fore, held in check with youthful tannins that promise a decade or more of aging in the cellar.
