93 Points: This unusual bottle - it's extremely rare to find a 100% Petit Verdot in Bordeaux - marks the contribution that the late Professor Denis Dubourdieu made to not just his own estates but Bordeaux winemaking in general. Made from Petit Verdot vines that he planted at his home estate of Château Reynon in 2005. Reduction evident on the first nose, but once it clears this has a weightless quality to the tannins, dark fleshy blackberry fruits and a ton of black pepper and cocoa bean spice. Almost entirely integrated even at only three years old, making this enjoyable for drinking now - even better after being opened 24 hours. Just 2,600 bottles.Jane Anson, janeanson.com
