96 POINTS: From a site planted with a northern Rhône clone and vines planted around Tensley's house, the 2017 Syrah Tensley Vineyard reveals a deep purple/plum color as well as meaty, gamey notes of red and black fruits, toasted spice, cured meats, and dried pepper. Full-bodied and concentrated, with silky tannins and a great, great finish, it's a killer bottle of wine.
