2017 La Célestière Châteauneuf-du-Pape 'Tradition'

91 Points: Grown on sand, red sandstone and galets, the fruit is fermented in stainless steel then aged for 12 months in foudre and concrete. Lavender, thyme and sage notes lend a very herbal dimension, despite the fruit being destemmed. It's full-bodied, with considerable internal sweetness, and it's not shy in alcohol. The overall effect is harmonious and compelling, with good tannic heft on the finish. Lifted, precise and generous.
