2017 Hospices de Beaune Santenay Cuvee Christine Friedberg

Having delivered a full crop last year, these vines were more miserly in 2017. As a result, the wine is impressively concentrated. Rich mid purple in colour, with dense ripe fruit on the nose, this Santenay offers sweet raspberry aromatics, which continue on the palate backed by just the right acidity. Not a heavyweight but beautifully poised.
