94pt Decanter - From 80-year-old vines on south-facing clay-limestone soils, the fruit is all destemmed with no added yeasts. 60% is fermented in vat and 40% in two-year-old barrels for a year before being bottled unfiltered. Attractive peppery herbs give lift to the aromas, while the medium-bodied palate shows no overextraction or surmaturité of fruit. Lovely berry acidity and crisp tannins accentuate the sense of freshness and drinkability - it buzzes with energy.
