97 Points: The 2017 Tempranillo is cut from the same cloth as the classic cuvée yet has a touch more meatiness and complexity. Brilliant blue fruits, Asian spices, cured meats, saddle leather, candle wax, licorice, and herbes de Provence-like notes all just come soaring from the glass. Full-bodied, it displays fabulous purity, a rich, layered, sexy texture, and ripe, polished tannins. It's a big wine, with plenty of structure, moderate acidity, and a finish that won't quit. It's straight-up stunning today with a decant, and I suspect it will benefit from just short-term cellaring and keep for a decade.Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com
