The flagship 2016 Côte Rôtie La Landonne is certainly on another level and might just match the 2015. Deep purple-colored and heavenly perfumed, with notes of black raspberries, violets, vanilla spice, incense and flowers, it’s full-bodied, ripe, seamless, and structured. It shows the more elegant style of the vintage, but is going to need time.
