2010 Tequila Ocho 'Los Mangos' Single-Estate Añejo Tequila

Rancho ‘Los Mangos’ at 1600 meters altitude is in the southernmost part of the venerated Los Altos de Jalisco. The average sugar content of the agaves was 29–30%, the industry average being 26%. The terroir of this ranch is similar to that of the Tequila valley. Nose, muted oak and cedar, hints of vanilla, custrd, citrus, black pepper and tropical fruit. Palate, leads with sharp oak perfume, goes to subtle mescal-like smoke, spiciness and depth, finishes with bitter cacao, sherry and grass. Ocho is not chill filtered.
