2010 Sierra Cantabria Magico

99-Pts: A new cuvée from the tiny El Vardallo vineyard (1.3 hectare) that's a field blend of mostly Tempranillo, (20% Garnacha) aged 20 months in new French oak, the 2010 Mágico sports a deep plum/inky color to go with rich, concentrated, gorgeous notes of black fruits, scorched earth, graphite, and lead pencil. Full-bodied, multi-dimensional, and as seamless as they come, this is a heavenly Rioja that’s going to evolve for 4-5 years and keep for 2-3 decades.
