2004 Darroze Domaine de Pouillas Single Barrel Bas-Armagnac

This estate is in the famous Bas-Armagnac Golden Triangle, located in the village of Le Frêche, and it belongs to the well-known Duporté family. Tawny sands make up the terroir of this estate, offering fruity and delicate Armagnacs. The barrel has an expressive nose, with flavors of quince, prune, orange peels, licorice, gingerbread, chocolate, and toast. On the palate, the tannins are round and fine, and the flavors are again very complex: white pepper, walnut, cocoa, leather. Long finish.
